Questions and Answers

Travel lodge??????

Q) When you stay at a travel lodge do you get breakfast??? x x

A) Breakfast isn't included in the price but all Travelogdes have breakfast facilities for an extra charge. At all travelodges you can get a breakfast bag for just £4.50. It includes a fresh banana, croissant and Kelloggs cereal pot (complete with spoon and milk) as well as orange juice and a large cup so you can take coffee or tea from your room with you. You can order the night before or pick up in the morning, just ask reception. Most travelodges are next to a little chef or similar and cook breakfasts are available. Its best to phone the lodge to double check opening times.

Manchester Travel lodge deals?

Q) A good while ago when I was at a Travel lodge in Blackpool they recenptionist there said that if you book enough in advance you can get rooms for what I think was £7 a night. I'm having a little trouble with the website so I was wondering if anyone could just tell me if this deal is still on or if there are any others similar? Or if there is a number that can be phoned that isn't just a robot.

A) The cheapest deal they have is £15 a night, which works out at £7.50 per person if there are two people sharing a room, and £5 a person for people sharing a family room (3 adults allowed in a family room, or 2 adults and 2 children). There is limited availablity on these rooms, so you either have to book ages in advance (a minimum of 3 weeks) or wait for special offers to come up. I did a bit of travelling over the Christmas period using this offer, but I booked in early November to enable this. You have to book the rooms in advance, and you can't get your money back if you have to cancel or postpone your trip. Just visit the link below and look for that they call Supersaver rooms.

I am trying to find honeymoon ideas (lodging/travel) for the plus sized/obese couple and cant find anything.?

Q) My boyfriend and I both weigh close to 400 lbs and are wondering if anyone caters to plus sized honeymooners. We for example hate flying because of the size issue and although we wanted to go n a cruise we dont think we will fit anywhere!

A) I can relate. I am about your weight. If you can afford it, you would probably find first class seats comfortable enough to fly. You could also drive, and book hotels with King beds. I think cruise ships might be more accomadating than you think. We just got a cabin in the Colrado mountains and drove there from Texas. If you live in a metropolitan area you might save your money and just get a nice room there. If you are like me, you probably haven't done half the things there are to do in the area. Hope that helps give you some ideas.

How do I save money on travel?

Q) I want to take a trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico from the United States. How can I save money on travel and lodging?

A) Hi. You could try the low cost airlines for flights: www.jetblue.com www.spiritair.com also check out this site: www.kayak.com it checks for the nest deals from the airlines + other online sites and shows you the top few. Call the hotels direct to see if they have any specials. Check out Bed & Breakfast places (usually cheaper than hotels). There is also this hotel in Old San Juan that was mentioned in the NY Times "Da House" hotel - rooms are less than $100 http://www.visit-the-coqui.com/2007/04/the-frugal-traveler-visits-puerto-rico/ more infor here: http://www.visit-the-coqui.com

Where do I look for the best package deal on travel and lodging to London from Detroit MI, USA?

A) Try Orbitz, Expedia, Hotwire, or one of the airline sites.

Are there any study abraod programs that pay for your travel and lodging as long as you work for them?

A) There is one program I am interested in, ELTAP (English Language Teaching Assistant Program), sets you up in a country to teach English where it is not a first language. Depending on where you go, the room and board is already set up for you and you will not have to pay extra. However, it is an abroad opportunity so there are fees (less than a semester at my university) and you will earn college credit. As far as I know, they do not pay you to participate. Another idea is teaching abroad not as a volunteer. You can learn more at the websites below. Check these websites out and keep looking...you should find something that suits your needs, good luck!
